Premium Sencha
Deep Steamed Green Tea

This is an outstanding deep steamed Japanese Green Tea that green tea lovers will prefer over many others. The tea leaves are very fragrant upon opening the package for the first time.

The first brew is quite interesting with a moderately astringent taste when warm that lingers on the palate. As the liquid cools the astringency becomes milder and a slight sweetness appears which results in a most pleasant finish. The second brew is a milder version of the first that is a little sweeter. A light touch of earthiness comes forth as the liquid cools.

Premium Deep Steamed Sencha is destined to become a classic Japanese Green Tea.

  • 100 grams (3.5 ounces)

Brewing Suggestions:

1.) First Infusion: Add 1 gram of tea per 100 ml of fresh water, or about one tablespoon per potful. Heat the water to 80C (180F) and brew for one minute.

2.) Second Infusion: Brew with the same temperature water as the first infusion but for only a few seconds. Please note that the caffeine content of green tea becomes significantly less after the first steeping.
