Most sophisticated Japanese tea, Organic Gyokuro loose leaf green tea is made from shade grown Japanese Green Tea. Known for its briny undertones and vegetal flavors and high andioxidant levels.
Organic Gyokuro is produced in very limited quantities in the Asahina mountainous area near Shizuoka City and is rarely sold outside Japan. JapaneseTeaFarm.com was offered the opportunity to offer this fine Japanese green tea and we immediately accepted.

About Gyokuro Tea:
Admired as the highest grade of Japanese tea, Gyokuro tea is virtually unrivaled. Its leaves are intentionally left to grow in the shade for twenty days. The leaves are then expertly handpicked. Immediately after picking, the leaves are steamed, dried then carefully rolled. The end product of Gyokuro tea distinctively resembles pine needles. Gyokuro is harvested annualy, in early spring. It’s remarkable delicate flavor and aftertaste makes it sought after by green tea connoisseurs.
